New gTLD Weekly Update (2 November 2012)

We had many productive sessions during ICANN 45 in Toronto. We hope you found our New gTLD Update session useful and informative. And thank you to all who participated in the Trademark Clearinghouse and Uniform Rapid Suspension (URS) sessions. We gathered good feedback and made progress on both of these important issues. If you missed these sessions, you can review them from the Applicants' Cornerwebpage. Simply click on the link, New gTLD Sessions from ICANN Meetings, to download audio files from all the new gTLD related session in Toronto. Now it's back to work as we continue moving the ball forward!

Here's what's ahead!

More Webinars

We've scheduled the next Applicant Update Webinar for 14 November. And on 21 November, we'll host a webinar on Objections & Dispute Resolution. More information on these upcoming webinars will be posted soon to the Webinar page.

Withdrawals

As of 29 October, we've had a total of eight new gTLD application withdrawals – six have been completed and two are in progress.

Change Requests

As of 29 October, we've received 138 change requests and approved and posted 29. To see which applications have been changed, go to the Application Results page and click on More Information. That will take you to the expanded Application Results page with clickable links that provide information about each application.  You can scroll this table to the right to reveal three additional columns – Application Status, Application Updates, and Objections. All approved and posted change requests can be found under the Application Updates column.
